New Bethel-linked church set to launch in Norwich
A new church, affiliated to Bethel in California, is set to launch in south Norwich on Sunday June 12, meeting at City of Norwich School. Keith Morris reports.
Kingdom Life Church is run by Holly and Dave Elverson, who have led Global Legacy events in Norwich since March 2015.
Dave said: “We have affiliated ourselves to Bethel and are commissioned by and accountable to a Council of Reference of wise fathers and mothers of the faith including Paul Manwaring, senior leader at Bethel in California.
“The vision of Kingdom Life is to see the love and power of Jesus impact and transform all aspects of society as believers shine with the glory that is in them and see the impossible take place.
“Our two core values are to focus on the presence of God and to make big people who become everything God has created them to be,” said Dave.
Dave works as a management consultant and says he is passionate about breaking down the sacred/secular divide. Holly says her passion is to see people set free to be the people God created them to be. She is a mother of two beautiful girls, Olivia and Beatrice, and has a passion for them and all of God’s children to know God intimately and be confident in who God says they are.
The couple have both completed Bethel's Leadership Development Programme.
Life for Dave and Holly changed dramatically in 2012 when Dave ended up paralysed due to a rare illness. The prognosis was very bad, but after a few people prayed for Dave he walked out of the hospital the next day.
“This changed everything and since then we have both been on a journey of discovery of what more God has in store,” said Dave.
Kingdom Life Church is launching on June 12, 10.30am in the ARC building at City of Norwich School, Eaton Road, Norwich, NR4 6PP.
