Chance to try out Christian youth league football

The chance to play Under-16 football on a Saturday morning is being offered by the Norfolk Christian Youth Football League with an open invitation morning on September 17.

A number of age-group leagues are run regularly on Saturday mornings including an Under-16 league.  An open football morning is being held for potential teams, small groups of players or individuals who would like to join the league for the coming season.

The morning, for players in school years 10 or 11, takes place at the Football Development Centre at the Open Academy in Heartsease, Norwich on Saturday September 17 from 9am to 11am.

League Secretary Alan Barnes said: “We have run a successful league for many years attracting many teenagers. This year we have spaces for some more teams to make the league more competitive.

“Players can just turn up for the morning and will need to come along ready to play and introduce yourself, or maybe come to watch to get an idea of the standard.”
