Donations of furniture welcome at Norfolk charity

Are you getting ready for a spring clean? Christian charity Emmaus Norwich welcomes donations of second hand furniture and can arrange collection.

Just because you no longer need an item, don’t throw it away!  By donating to Emmaus Norwich you’re not only keeping waste out of landfill, but you’re also making sure it goes to a new home, while doing something to help others.

Emmaus is a community of people who’ve experienced homelessness who live and work in former convent buildings in Ditchingham, selling second hand furniture from their salesrooms to support and grow the community.

Donations of sofas and chairs are acceoted if they have a fire label.  One of Emmaus' companions, Mike, can PAT test, so unlike many charity shops they can take white goods too (with the exception of fridges & freezers).  They also accept a wide selection of solid wood furniture.

Collection of large items can be arrnaged from your home, while all other donations of household goods can be dropped in at the shop in Ditchingham during opening hours.

The shop is open Tuesday to Saturday, 10.00am-4.30pmat a located at Belsey Bridge Road, Ditchingham, NR35 2DT

To find out more or arrange a collection please call 01986 895444 or fill in a donate goods form at

Do you appreciate our service and stories?

The Network Norwich & Norfolk website has been published for over 13 years now and we have an established team of professional journalists covering the activities, organisations and churches which make up the county’s Christian community. Our whole purpose is to support that community by daily providing accurate, unbiased stories and features.

To pay for that service, we rely on our partner organisations, advertisers and readers to, in turn, support us financially. We want to keep the website free for everyone to access and continue to be able to pay for writers to produce the content you can enjoy every day.

We would like to ask you to consider supporting our work and suggest you might want to make a small regular donation of just £1 a week and become one of our 100 Friends, or a larger one-off or annual amount.

Because we are part of a registered charity we can reclaim Gift Aid on your donations if you are a tax-payer.
