Over 40 teams kick off Norfolk Christian football season

The Norfolk Christian Football League kicks off a new season on Saturday September 16 with 41 teams across five leagues.

The adult league has grown to ten teams including three news teams from Silver Road, Sprowston Radicals and St John’s.

League chairman, Jim Green, said: “The adult league is in an exciting position with new church-based teams entering. A collaboration of Surrey Chapel and Meadow Way Chapel gives us a new Silver Road team, a young team based around last years under 16 sides. Sprowston Radicals are supported by Radical Church and St John's Catholic Cathedral has entered an adult team once again, which brings us to a healthy looking ten teams.

“At the AGM, the teams decided to revert to a conventional knockout for the cup competitions this season.”
