Ashton Lane band play at Norfolk church

Ashton Lane, The Scottish musical trio, played their own brand of Americana Country music at FOL Church in Ashill and over £1,000 was raised for The Bishop's Appeal for outreach in Papua New Guinea.

Organised to raise funds for The Bishops Appeal for the outreach in Papua New Guinea, one hundred and twenty people enjoyed a fantastic evening of Americana Country at The Well Christian Centre Ashill on Saturday October 27.

The event raising £1094 in total from the evening, including all the income from the ticket sales and a draw for bundles of CD donated by Ashton Lane for the event.

Recently back from touring to their Scandinavia fan base the week before coming to Ashill, Fountain of Life Church was delighted to host this delightful trio.

TheWellAshillCFTim and Esther O'Conner and Esther's father Graeme Duffin played songs from their back catalogue of albums, new songs destined for up and coming album releases as well as entertaining stories. Their next CD called 'The In Between' is being released on November 29 with a further CD out in the New Year.

Their music was beautifully played and sung with marvellous harmonies and fantastic guitar work. During the interval, and at the end, the audience was able to meet with them and chat as well as buy merchandise and CD's.

It was a memorable evening, enjoyed by all who attended, and which organisers hope to repeat next year.
