WymondhamYouthBusCFAppeal for Norfolk churches to support Wymondham youth bus

A new group of trustees have joined the board of Wymondham Youth Bus and want to take the project forward with the help of the Norfolk Christian community.

Danny Doran-Smith, the new Chair of Trustees, said “it is my privilege to have taken the role of Chair for the Wymondham Youth Bus Charity.  The bus has been in operation for a number of years providing outreach to young people in the Wymondham area, and we are looking forward to not only re-establishing this work but to developing further projects and initiatives across the County”.
In the past the youth bus has served to provide a weekly outreach for young people on the recreation ground in Wymondham, seeing around 30 people each evening, and this past summer was used in the Market Cross to provide family outreach activities and a café in partnership with ENYP.  Its visible presence and the opportunity to provide a venue for delivery means that outreach is easily accessible and can be taken into the heart of a community area.
In the future Wymondham Youth Bus plans to launch and develop initiatives to provide:

  • youth outreach activities
  • activities in rural communities
  • community café
  • food outreach initiative to the homeless and vulnerable

The charity is looking for support from local churches and organisations so if you are interested in finding out more information please contact;

Do you appreciate our service and stories?

The Network Norwich & Norfolk website has been published for over 13 years now and we have an established team of professional journalists covering the activities, organisations and churches which make up the county’s Christian community. Our whole purpose is to support that community by daily providing accurate, unbiased stories and features.

To pay for that service, we rely on our partner organisations, advertisers and readers to, in turn, support us financially. We want to keep the website free for everyone to access and continue to be able to pay for writers to produce the content you can enjoy every day.

We would like to ask you to consider supporting our work and suggest you might want to make a small regular donation of just £1 a week and become one of our 100 Friends, or a larger one-off or annual amount.

Because we are part of a registered charity we can reclaim Gift Aid on your donations if you are a tax-payer.
