Volunteers needed to help support families
The Nook Children’s Hospice is looking for volunteers to help in the homes of families of children with a life-threatening illness.
The aim of the Help at Home volunteer service is to provide practical support to EACH (East Anglia Children’s Hospices) families who have a child with a life threatening illness. The volunteers provide practical support in the family home and help families with tasks such as cleaning, washing and ironing, gardening, one-off DIY or sibling support. Volunteers are asked to commit for at least six months to be able to provide continuity to families. All volunteers are asked to provide two references, to be DBS checked, and to meet for an informal chat at the Nook Hospice in Framingham Earl.
