Matthew Project launches Norfolk charity auction

The Matthew Project is going live with an online charity auction tomorrow night. Sarah King, Fundraising and Events Officer at The Matthew Project, explains what is to be won – both for bidders and for the wider community.

After months of preparation, we are thrilled to announce that our online fundraising auction goes live at 8pm tomorrow evening (Friday October 23). We have a superb selection of well-considered packages, with something to appeal to all tastes. All we need now are bids.

Auction items include a ski break, a supertrack car day, a table for two at Marco Pierre's London restaurant, family fun days out, a round of golf, a photography portrait session, a Ronnie O'Sullivan signed snooker cue and a Mike Tyson signed glove.

You may have seen in the EDP this week: ‘It can happen to anyone: City’s drug death rate among highest in country.’ Please remember the importance of the work we do with our community in the battle against substance misuse. Funds raised from this event will allow us to continue our life-saving work at a time when we are needed more than ever.

Our awesome range of lots are donated by 24 of Norfolk’s finest independent businesses and individuals. They are available for you to place bids via your mobile phone. We are sure you’ll find a gift to remember for you, your family and loved ones.

Your can join the auction and get more information about prizes available here: www.matthewproject.org/online-auction

All you need to do is sign up with your details. These will not be shared with any third parties and will only be used for the purpose of this auction. Providing your mobile telephone number ensures that you are kept up to date should you be outbid at any time, with an automated text service.

The auction will run for two weeks with the final nail-biting half hour streamed live via the event page on the Matthew Project’s Facebook page, hosted by popular auctioneer Chris Bailey.

Businesses that have donated to the auction include -

Stanford Skiing, Snowfit Revolutionz, Norfolk Snowsports Club, Proshine Valet Service, Jarrold, Cator & Co, Barefoot Retreats, Secret Sauna, Farmyard Restaurant, Go Paddle, Wardley Hill Campsite, EDP, Wensum Print, BDH Tullford, Flower House Norwich, The Grove Hotel Cromer, Cupcake & Co, The Den Barbers, Eaton Golf Club, All About Image Photography, The Style Show Boutique and Dave Fincham Photography
