Roy aims for a meal a mile on run for the hungry

Roy Roberts, a member of St Stephens Church in Norwich, will be running 300 miles during December raise money for free meals. Below he explains the plan.

I would like to raise enough money to pay for 300 meals through Namaste Village Norwich, a restaurant that for years now has been providing meals to anyone in need.

The restaurant has a real heart for their community. As a church we try to provide whatever is necessary to look after people, and ensuring that nobody goes hungry reflects the core of what my faith means to me.

I work full time, so squeezing in so many miles will definitely be a great challenge. But I know that I am doing it for such a great cause. I am grateful for all those who have already expressed an interest in helping out and showing support.

I really hope that I can raise enough, perhaps even more, to show how much people care about others, particularly in providing for a need in Norwich. I will be posting daily updates on my Facebook page and donations can be made through my JustGiving page.
