Norwich church set to stage toy swap event

Oak Grove Community Church in Norwich is holding a toy swap event to help families reduce the cost of Christmas.

On Wednesday November 15 from 9.30-11.30am parents can bring good condition, clean, pre-loved toys and/or books to the church (70 Catton Grove Road, NR3 3NT) and swap them for something else. Refreshments will also be provided.

"As we head towards Christmas, the cost of buying presents for children can weigh heavy on parents so by holding a toy swap we hope to ease some of that burden and have some fun in the process!" says Family Support Worker Lynette Woodward.

Toys and books need to be clean and in good condition, from ages 0-11 years. Bring a toy, get to choose one toy. Bring two toys, get to choose two toys etc. Toys with batteries accepted but not those that are electrical.

Any toys left over at the end will be donated to Oak Grove Community Church Charity Shop.

Donations of toys/books can be dropped off at Oak Grove on Tuesday November 14, 9.30am-12pm or from 8.45am on the November 15.
