Norwich chance to Speak Life in a Digital Age

Speaking Life in a Digital Age is the topic of a half-day training session being run by the Norfolk Gospel Partnership in Norwich on Monday March 11.

How do we engage with a world which is struggling to hear God’s voice amidst the melee shouting through every screen scroll? How do we communicate the gospel in an age of information overload? How do Christian historic creeds help us as we tell the life-giving story whilst fake news and cynicism dominate? And how do you cut across the unending voices online to engage with a brand new generation?

Addressing these and other questions will be Nate Morgan Locke the development director for the team at Speak Life

Nate is coming to Norwich on Monday March 11 starting at 12pm, to help participants “Speak Life in a Digital Age”.  He is a creative, fil- maker and theologian, who is gifted at capturing the world’s imagination and equipping the church to speak. Speak Life specialises in online videos which excel at getting the Gospel message across in a thought-provoking way.

The training will start with lunch at 12 noon followed by two sessions before finishing at 4pm at CityGates Church, 2-6 Botolph St, Norwich
NR3 1DU. The two sessions will cover.

  • Evangelism and the Attention Economy: How the Internet changed our outreach.
  • Gaps in our Gospel? How the Apostle's Creed can help us to share the good news of Jesus.

Andy Rees, Pastor of CityGates church said: “Nate spends a lot of time creating outstanding content to engage people on-line. We’ve been blessed by the work he’s done and can’t wait to hear some of the creative thinking behind it.”

Matthew Price, Vicar of St Mary Magdalen Church, Gorleston, said: “At times the church can lag behind the world in terms of opportunities new technology gives us. I’m looking forward to hearing a specialist on how the online world has affected outreach in this generation.”

This event is open to all who are interested including church leadership teams and is being organised by the Norfolk Gospel Partnership.

The cost is £6, including food and you can book in here.
