Join in free N Norfolk Stainer Easter performances
Stainer’s Crucifixion will be performed at two North Norfolk venues during the weekend before Easter, and everyone is welcome to come along and take part.
Creakes Chamber Choir and Walsingham Children’s Choir will be taking part in this production, which has been edited to add audience participation from other musical sources in keeping with this retelling of the Passion narrative.
The first performance of Stainer: Crucifixion will be at 7pm on Saturday 12 April at The Annunciation, Friday Market, Walsingham and will feature Parry’s Blest Pair of Sirens. Then, on Palm Sunday, 13 April also at 7pm, the group will perform at St Nicholas Church, Salthouse as part of their week of Christian Artists exhibition: Passion.
The production will be directed by Justin Harmer, who will also be singing bass. The tenor will be Desmond Holmes, with Matthew Pitts on organ.
Any singers interested in joining in the Saturday performance of the Parry should contact Justin at harperharmer@aol.co.uk. on 07950882824.
These performances are free to attend, with a retiring collection.
Watch out for our story next week about the Salthouse Christian Artists exhibition.
