Music event to fund Watton Church improvements
St. Mary’s Church in Watton will be holding a special fundraising concert next month to raise money towards much-needed improvements to their church premises.
The performance will feature The Knightingales, pictured above, a vibrant vocal trio known for their stunning three-part harmonies and captivating stage presence, who will take you on a musical journey through Swing, Jazz, Soul, Motown, and more.
St Mary's hosts and runs many local church and public events. However, they are struggling with their facilities and space. Therefore, the church is raising money to extend a storage room and a new kitchen so that the rooms can accommodate more events and serve the church and the wider community.
Lucy Davey, Parish Administrator, explains: “This wonderful event isn’t just about incredible music, it’s a chance to support St. Mary’s Church in Watton as we work to fund important improvements to our much-loved church. By attending, you’ll help ensure that our historic space continues to serve the community for years to come.
“With their glamorous costumes, fun choreography, and infectious energy, The Knightingales promise an unforgettable evening for all ages. Whether they’re bringing to life nostalgic hits from the Golden Age of Hollywood or getting you on your feet with classic dancefloor anthems, their performance is sure to entertain and inspire.
“Bring your friends, family, and neighbours to enjoy an evening of great music and light refreshments, and make a meaningful contribution to preserving the future of St. Mary’s Church.”
Tickets can be purchased for £10 each by contacting the Parish Office at wattonchurch@gmail.com or by visiting Adcocks Appliance Store, Watton High Street, Watton, IP25 6AE.
