Retired Yarmouth minister publishes life story

David Weeks from Great Yarmouth has published a testimony of his life marked by “miraculous encounters, deep trials and enduring faith.”

David Weeks, retired minister in Great Yarmouth, is inviting people to read his new book: A Feast of Weeks: A Personal Testimony of a Life Changed by the Power of God

The Feast of Weeks (Chavuot) is a Jewish harvest festival, also known to Christians as Pentecost—the day the Holy Spirit descended with power upon the early Church. Playing on his surname, David intertwines this theme of harvest—of souls—with the power of God as he shares his remarkable life story.

Raised in a non-Christian home and once a committed sceptic, David wanted nothing to do with God. But at the age of 27, the reality of God’s love broke through his resistance and turned his life upside down. What followed was a dramatic journey of transformation—marked by what he describes as: “miraculous encounters, deep trials, and enduring faith.”

Empowered by the Holy Spirit, David has seen many come to faith in Jesus and has witnessed God perform powerful miracles of healing. Yet he also wrestles honestly with the reality of unanswered prayers and ongoing health challenges in his own life—some of which have led to profound changes in his lifestyle and plans. David invites readers into his journey—one marked by God’s faithfulness in both the mountaintops and the valleys.

David writes: “whether you’re seeking to grow in faith, hungry to encounter God more deeply, or in need of encouragement amid life’s trials, this book will stir your heart and inspire you to trust God more fully.”

Rob McFarlane, Pastor of River Church, St Neots describes David’s book as “An easy read with an excellent blend of testimony and teaching. I appreciated the honest and humble way David has shared his journey. Reading it was a rich and rewarding experience.”

David’s book is available now as an ebook on Amazon Kindle, or in paperback on eBay. You can also order directly by emailing: afeastofweeks@gmail.com. Price £7.99 plus postage and packaging, with all proceeds going to support the orphanage described in the book.
