
Free Christian media workshop is held in Norwich
The second in a series of free media workshops for churches and Christians across Norfolk, as part of Network Norfolk’s 20th anniversary year, has been held in Norwich and there is still time to sign up for ones in Sheringham and King's Lynn.
Staged at the YMCA Norfolk Community Hub, Aylsham Road in Norwich on April 23, the training was led by website editor Keith Morris and senior content editor Helen Baldry.
Participants came from churches and Christian organisations from Norwich, Dereham, Drayton and Sprowston.
Jonathan Onyeme, from RCCG chapel in Norwich, said: "It was excellent with good interaction and helpful information.
Becky White, from English+, said: " There was plenty of good information and helpful hints and it was a great networking opportunity."
Claire Gunn, from Community Chaplaincy Norfolk, said: I have been using Network Norfolk to publish articles for a few years now and it was helpful to see what I have ben doing is along the right lines."
Sarah Miller, from St John's Cathedral, said: "It was very helpful information to assist with understanding how the press works."
Further workshops are set to run in:
Sheringham, Wed April 30, 10.30am to 1pm, Lighthouse Church
King’s Lynn, Wednesday May 7, 10am and 12.30pm, Gaywood Church Rooms
The workshops will cover topics aimed at helping churches and Christian organisations communicate their great work more effectively. It will be run by Keith, who is an experienced journalist, editor and communications director, and local Network Norfolk content editors.
Keith explains: "Each workshop can be tailored to those attending it and it works best if people come with ideas about what they want to communicate."

Places are free, but will be limited to make sure that we can engage fully with participants to help them get the most out of the interactive workshops.
