Reepham’s Easter Cross encourages locals
An Easter cross covered in flowers outside Reepham Methodist Church has been encouraging and inspiring those who have passed by.
On Every Sunday during Lent, church leaders placed symbols of Jesus’ passion and death on a simple wooden cross. Then, on Easter Sunday, they decorated the cross with flowers to celebrate the risen Christ and placed it outside the front door chapel in Station Road for everyone to see as they walked past.
The cross has invoked several compliments from local people and encouraging posts on the Reepham Local Facebook page.
Shendy Bean said “Saw this today at the Methodist Church. Had to stop and take a picture. It is gorgeous. Well done whoever made it.”
Mavis Thomson said “Thank you on behalf of Reepham Methodist Church. We brought flowers and foliage to our Easter Service to decorate our cross. It is beautiful, isn’t it?”
Julie Edmunds said “It is so beautiful, and such a joy to see as you come from town towards co-op. Well done to you all”
