YMCA Norfolk looks for church partner for GLS
YMCA Norfolk has announced plans to bring the internationally acclaimed Global Leadership Summit (GLS) back to Norwich in 2025 and is currently seeking a local church to help make the event possible.
Recognised globally for its focus on empowering leaders across sectors, GLS is designed to inspire individuals in business, faith communities, education, local organisations, and even within their own families. The event offers participants the chance to engage in meaningful conversations, network with fellow leaders, and gain fresh energy and insight for their leadership journeys.
This year's summit is expected to feature a diverse lineup of renowned speakers, including Craig Groeschel, Christine Caine, John C. Maxwell, Juliet Funt, and Jon Acuff. Each speaker will contribute unique perspectives, practical tools, and motivational content aimed at equipping attendees for real-world leadership challenges.
John Lee, CEO of YMCA Norfolk, highlighted the event’s long-standing impact on the local community. “For over a decade, GLS has had a significant impact on the lives of leaders in Norfolk. We know the impact it had on helping churches and Christian charities fulfil their mission. We’re excited to look to bring it back, but we need a church to partner with to help make it happen,” he said.
YMCA Norfolk is currently looking for a Norwich-based church willing to co-host the event. The ideal venue would have seating for at least 40 attendees, audio-visual equipment suitable for a full day of video content, a microphone for facilitation, and availability in early November 2025. Additional amenities such as on-site parking and refreshment facilities are also preferred.
In return, the host church would receive five complimentary tickets to the summit for its team, a role in shaping the day’s content, and full logistical and marketing support from YMCA Norfolk. Churches with an on-site café would also be able to offer services to event delegates during lunch.
“This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of something that will inspire and uplift leaders across our city,” said John.
