Norwich church's invite to 90th birthday party

Oak Grove Community Church in Norwich is celebrating 90 years of serving the community of Catton Grove in October and has issued an invite to join it at a 1930s themed summer event to mark the occasion.

During the first weekend of October, the month when the church officially started, there will be lots of other celebrations but on Saturday July 12, from 7pm at Oak Grove Community Church, the church is having a 1930s themed summer event – and invites you to ‘come and get your glad rags on and enjoy the party!’

Darren Woodward, Senior Leader of Oak Grove Community Church said: “October 1935 saw the opening of what was originally known as Oak Grove Hall and what we know today as Oak Grove Community Church and we are so grateful to God to reach such a milestone! With any special anniversary, we are taking this opportunity to celebrate and we'll be doing so in style!”

Tickets are £10 each and include a drink on arrival and a two-course grazing banquet. There will be a raffle, mocktails and a photobooth at an additional cost to help fundraise for their work. The dress code is 1930s/art deco/black or gold.

Tickets are available online here or by cash or card from the Oak Grove office, 70 Catton Grove Road, Norwich, NR3 3NT
