Gifts & talents at Sheringham church’s flower fest

Sheringham Methodists’ popular flower festival returns next month after a gap of four years following Covid restrictions and the refurbishment of the worship space.

The theme this year is ‘Gifts & Talents’ and as well as the highly creative floral displays by local flower arrangers there will be a display by the Sheringham Primary School. There will also be stalls selling hand-crafted cards and crafts, jewellery, bric-a-brac, books, plants, raffle, Fairtrade goods and a Prayer Room for quiet reflection.  Light refreshments will be served daily until 4pm.

Jean Parton, from St Andrews’ leadership team, said, “Whilst the Flower Festival is a fundraising event, we also hope that the God-given gifts and talents on show will have an impact on those who view the floral displays with their message.  The worship space, where the displays are located, with its various Christian symbols, very often evokes conversation and discussion about the Christian faith, as does the Prayer Room adjacent to the worship space”

The festival runs daily from 10am to 4.30pm from Thursday 10 to Sunday 13 July with special Festival Praise services at 10.30am and 4.30pm on the Sunday.

Admission is free, with all proceeds from donations and sales going to support Stable Door, the local Christian Housing Trust as well as St Andrew’s church funds.

St Andrew’s Methodist Church is on Cromer Road, Sheringham, NR26 8SA.
