Norwich church puts on free Summerfest week

A city-centre church in Norwich is running its annual week of free activities and events in Waterloo Park during the summer holidays.

After three increasingly popular years, CityGates Church is bringing Summerfest back for 2025! This year, Summerfest is bigger and better than ever before – promising more fun for more people in the Norwich community.
 
Bev Dubberley, Summerfest lead, said: “There’s something for everyone at Summerfest! On the Saturday and Sunday, we’re going to put on our free fun days, with inflatables, face-paintings, games, and even the return of the Summerfest Dog Show on the Sunday. Plenty of opportunities to win prizes and get some free refreshments during the (hopefully) sunny weather!”
 
“New for 2025 is our Toddler Café Stay-and-Play on Monday July 21 at 10am, and Youth Nights on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights for 11 – 16 year olds where there will be crazy games, a silent disco, nerf gun battles, craft, music, snacks and Bible talks.
 
“Meanwhile, our epic week of games, bible stories and challenges is back with our Explorer’s Holiday Club for 4 – 11s. Parents can drop off their kids and chat over a cuppa at the Parents Café, which even has daily pop-up talks at 10am, ranging from helping your child through big emotions to planning summer fun on a shoestring.”
 
Bev said: “Summerfest afternoons are full of crafts, games, and the café is back in action – all free! And don’t forget our Summerfest Nights – American Line Dancing and a classic Pub Quiz.”
