YMCA Norfolk's Christmas appeal to community
This Christmas, YMCA Norfolk is calling on the community to come together and make a real difference for young people and families across Norfolk who are struggling.
Its Christmas Campaign is a lifeline for those facing homelessness, mental health challenges, and hardship during what should be the most joyful time of year.
Why Your Support Matters
Behind the sparkle of the season, many young people in Norfolk are experiencing loneliness, insecurity, and fear for the future, says John Lee, CEO at YMCA Norfolk.
“We work year-round to provide safe housing, mental health support, and opportunities for education and employment—giving young people the tools they need to thrive.
“But we can’t do it alone. Every donation to our Christmas Campaign helps fund vital services, from emergency accommodation to counselling sessions and skills training. Your generosity ensures that vulnerable young people have not only a roof over their heads but also hope for a brighter future.
"Christmas is a time when families come together to celebrate, but for many of our young people this isn't the case. Your generosity helps us to show our young people that they're not alone this Christmas," says John.
How You Can Help
“YMCA Norfolk is aiming to raise £10,000 this Christmas to continue providing life-changing support across Norfolk. Every pound counts - whether it’s £10 to provide a warm meal or £100 to fund counselling sessions, your gift makes a tangible difference,” says John.
"Together, we can make this Christmas brighter for those who need it most. Your kindness today will help transform lives tomorrow.”
