Cliff Richard tribute speaks and sings in Norwich
Cliff Richard lookalike and tribute act Will Chandler told his remarkable story of faith and complete recovery from cancer, and performed a few well-known Cliff songs, at the Christmas Dinner of Norwich FGB on December 11, at the Mercure Hotel in Norwich. Barrie Lawrence reports.
He looked like Cliff Richard and he sounded like Cliff Richard when he sang Cliff’s hits and some gospel songs. But it was Will Chandler at the Norwich FGB Christmas dinner, which was so well attended by over 50 guests, who enjoyed traditional turkey, crackers and lots of fun.
‘Cliff’ sang and many joined in. He also told us how he had trusted in Jesus at the age of nine, and later became a Baptist pastor and evangelist. But he found he was reaching more people with the gospel through Cliff concerts, and went into that full-time, touring the UK and many countries abroad.
Around five years ago he was diagnosed with stage four malignant melanoma, and given two years to live. The oncology consultant keeps telling him he is in remission, and Will keeps telling the consultant that Jesus has healed him.

Will invited people who wanted prayer to come forward, and there was a good response.
We thank the Lord for his presence at a powerful, wonderful evening. We also thank president Chris Brown and his wife Jane for their inspiring choice of speaker and hard work. (Chris was leading a bomb disposal squad in Northern Ireland when the Lord spoke to him with an audible voice and saved his life. A great testimony. Invite him to your chapter).
We wholeheartedly recommend Will Chandler to other chapters. He will fill your restaurant, and give them the gospel.
More details of future Norwich FGB dinners will be available soon on this website.
