Hundreds gather for Norfolk women’s conference
Back for its third year, The Norfolk Gospel Partnership Women’s Conference 2026 saw 400 women from across the region gather together for a day of worship, inspirational Bible teaching and encouragement.
Women from more than 75 different churches attended and this year’s theme was, Greater - running the race because of Jesus.
The conference was held at Holy Trinity Church, Norwich, on January 24, with the aim of enthusing women about Jesus and igniting their desire to share Him with others by meeting, teaching and encouraging one another in His gospel.
Speaker, Lizzy Smallwood, taught from Hebrews, encouraging us to press on in the Christian race despite the struggles and disappointments of life. A range of exciting seminars were also on offer and delegates enjoyed browsing the brilliant bookstall from 10ofthose.
The conference planning team, made up of representatives from churches across Norfolk, hopes it was a day of blessing and an opportunity for women to grow together in faith.
Elizabeth Cahir, Chair of the Conference Planning Team, said: “It has been such a joy to gather together with so many women from so many different churches. I hope and pray the event has been a great encouragement for all who attended and a positive way to start the new year. I would also like to thank Lizzy Smallwood for travelling all the way from Cornwall to be our speaker this year - we’ve really appreciated her wise teaching. We look forward to meeting again in January 2027!”
Vicky Fallows, conference attendee from Great Ellingham Baptist Church, said: “It was a very blessed day connecting with 400 Christian ladies from so many different churches. The teaching from Hebrews was exceptional and very thought provoking. I very much look forward to taking the message home to my church.”
Mim, conference attendee from Broadgrace Church in Coltishall, said: “It was a really encouraging day surrounded by some lovely Christian women, excellent teaching and beautiful worship. I was reminded how important it is that we meet together to be built up and to help us to keep running the race set before us.”
Next year’s conference will take place on Saturday 23rd January 2027 and Sarah Allen will be speaking. Sarah is a teacher and writer who lives in West Yorkshire. She leads Flourish North, London Seminary's course for northern women involved in church ministry and she particularly enjoys opening up the Bible with children and women in the church.
The Norfolk Gospel Partnership is a group of churches working together to give every person in Norfolk a welcoming, Christ-honouring, Bible-teaching church in their community.
