Sheringham Church to host pop-up Christian shop
Christian Bookshop ministry Green Pastures is to hold monthly pop-up shops at the Lighthouse Community Church in Sheringham, starting in March.
At the invitation of Ian Savory, team leader at Lighthouse, Green Pastures Christian Bookshop, based in mid-Norfolk, is excited to be starting a monthly shop at this lively North Norfolk location.
The first occasion is scheduled from 10.30am to 1pm on Tuesday, 10 March, and then on the second Tuesday of each month for a trial period. Green Pastures will display a large selection of Bibles, books and quality cards and gifts from their Dereham shop for viewing and sale. Items can be pre-ordered in advance or at the pop-up stall itself.
Manager Irene Humphrey and her team have long wanted to provide such a service in North Norfolk and are grateful to Lighthouse for this initiative. She adds, “We hope that churches, groups and individuals nearby will use this opportunity to view and explore the wide range of products which Green Pastures stocks. When selecting a Bible, for instance, it is important to be able to see and handle copies rather than making an online purchase.”
Many people in Norfolk and Suffolk have come to value these monthly pop-up shops which are currently held at Bury St Edmunds (St Mary’s Church: 1st Wednesday, 10am-2pm), King’s Lynn (Cornerstone Baptist: 3rd Wednesday, 10am-noon) and Norwich (Salvation Army Citadel: last Thursday, 10am-2pm).
Green Pastures can be contacted by email at shop@greenpasturesdereham.org.uk or by phone on 01362 697953.
