Cromer church takes part in global prayer event

Cromer Parish Church will take part in the annual World Day of Prayer’s 38-hour prayer event on Friday March 6, at 2pm.

This event sees prayer move in an unbroken sequence across the world, starting in Samoa and finishing 38 hours later in American Samoa. More than 120 countries are expected to participate, receiving guidance from an international committee in New York.

This year's service will be coordinated by local Catholic, Methodist, and Church of England churches and focuses on a message from Christian women of Nigeria. The theme, 'I will give you rest,' addresses the pursuit of peace in a world brimming with anxiety and challenges.

Going beyond Christian outreach, the service opens its doors to individuals from all faiths or none, extending a warm invitation to everyone in the spirit of global solidarity.

The annual World Day of Prayer takes place on the first Friday of every March.
