Julian Shrine to host two Norfolk summer retreats
The Julian Shrine in Norwich is hosting two retreats this summer, open to all across Norwich and Norfolk.
The
Jesus Prayer Retreat will run from
Monday May 25 to
Friday May 29 and be led by the Shrine Pilgrim, Chaplain Fr
Bruce-Julian Batstone.
This non-residential retreat will be centred on the Jesus Prayer and will give space for silent meditation and reflection as well as opportunities to pray the Jesus Prayer together. Open to both beginners and experienced practitioners, there will be daily teaching and light refreshments throughout the day.
The retreat will be held at All Hallows Guesthouse, the retreat house belonging to the Julian Shrine, which provides a place to escape the rush of daily life. Guests will have access to the Shrine site throughout the day including the facilities at All Hallows.
The Jesus Prayer Retreat costs £120 and includes teaching, light refreshments, and any retreat resources.
In July, the Shrine will host a Calligraphy and Spirituality Retreat from July 13 to July 18 with artist-calligrapher Jane Sullivan.

Jane's approach to calligraphy is based on the joy of following the invitations of our own imagination to celebrate each word and design motif in a spirit of delight and discovery. Beginners are very welcome, and no particular artistic ability is prerequisite.
This event is open to residential and non-residential guests and is organised and run by The Julian Shrine in the centre of Norwich, in conjunction with the Shrine retreat house All Hallows Guesthouse.
Non-residential prices start from £495 and early booking discount is available until April 1.
