Invite to Trussell Walk Humbly online launch
Norfolk churches have been invited to the online launch of Christian food charity Trussell's Walking Humbly resources aimed at making all welcome and all voices being heard.
"Is your church a place where people facing hunger and hardship can belong fully? asks Joanna Stevenson Trussell's Area Manager ‑ Eastern Counties? "We would love you to come to the launch of online on May 7 from 9am to 10.30am.
"Although a national event, it would be great to have lots of representation from churches in Norfolk," said Joanna. "Lots of churches are engaged with Trussell food banks in the county. ‘Walking Humbly’ is a fantastic resource and the launch promises to be a really insightful and interesting event."
The resources include a booklet for church leaders and a series of Bible Studies to help explore how churches can be communities where all are welcomed and all voices are heard. The resources were written with Trussell's group of Lived Experience Partners - people who are Christian who have needed to access the support of a food bank.
Speakers at the event will include Bishop Martyn Snow, Bishop of Leicester and the CofE's lead Bishop on Poverty, Hannah Fremont-Brown who co-authored the resources and is the Justice Seeking Church Officer for the Methodist Church alongside members of the Lived Experience Group and Trussell staff.
