Norfolk course takes faith to a deeper level 

Norwich Anglican Cursillo offers a residential course providing the opportunity to experience your faith at a deeper level through talks, meditations, group discussions, prayer and worship, explains Lay Director Jeanie Feneron.

Are you a Christian who feels there may be something more to your faith that you haven’t yet found? Would you like to explore your faith at a deeper level?

The course is from September 9 to 12 2026 at The Pleasaunce Christian Centre, Harbord Road, Overstrand, NR27 0PN. The cost is £100 for three days full board and accommodation.

Cursillo (cur-see-o) is an international movement of the church providing a method by which Christians are empowered to grow through prayer, study and action and enabled to share God’s love.

Cursillo originated in Majorca following a Spanish Pilgrimage to the shrine of St James in Compostela and now operates in most Anglican Dioceses in Great Britain supported by Diocesan Bishops.

It is endorsed by the Bishop of Norwich and is part of the Diocesan Mission Strategy. The Rt Rev Graham Usher said: “I have witnessed how participation with Cursillo has deepened people’s discipleship in daily work with the Lord-energising them to love God and their neighbour all the more.”

Who is Cursillo for?
Cursillo is for all Christians, lay or ordained, who are already attending Church and want to explore or deepen their faith. Also, for new Christians, or those on the periphery who want to get more involved as well as established Christians who are asking questions, or at a crossroads.
 
All applicants are encouraged to identify a companion from their church who has completed the course or a member of the Cursillo community when applying. If you don’t know anyone we can link you up with someone. This person will support you in prayer throughout your Cursillo journey.
