20:20 Vision appeal will double your donations
After 20 years of helping to communicate the work of the Norfolk Christian community, the Network Norfolk website now needs our readers’ support more than ever, so that we can keep on serving that community into the future.
The website is marking a remarkable 20 years of serving the local Christian community this month, culminating in the second Norfolk Christian Communications Awards on October 23.
These awards, alongside a series of free media workshops held earlier this year and our weekly cycle of news stories, features and events listing, all help us meet our central aim - that is to support the Norwich and Norfolk Christian community in communicating its vital work more effectively and to an ever-wider audience.
In turn, over the last two decades, literally hundreds of churches, organisations, individuals and Christian businesses have helped to support our work by advertising with us or by making donations – and a big thank you to everyone who had partnered with us in this Kingdom enterprise.
We have increased our staff team and resources in line with our increasing income, to enable us to provide an effective service to support your work.
Now we need to make a special appeal to you to back us once more.
Over the next couple of years, we are facing a sizeable deficit in our predicted budgets. This is largely because of an overhang from the Covid pandemic times when our income naturally went down. Since then a lot of Norfolk churches, Christian organisations and individuals have found life harder than before. They have had less money to advertise or to support charitable projects such as ours.
We are, like you I am sure, also all too aware of the increasing cost of living and rising employment costs.
To secure our future over the next few years we need to make what we are calling our 20:20 Vision Appeal, alongside our annual October 100 Friends appeal. This aims to raise £20k to mark our 20th anniversary and is the first time we have made such a specific appeal in those 20 years.
To help us to reach our target, we have had a very generous offer from a Christian charitable foundation which has offered to double any money we raise up to a certain figure.
If you are able to contribute towards our 20:20 Vision Appeal, or become one of our regular 100 Friends, making a small but vitally important monthly donation, we would be very grateful, and your funds will therefore be doubled as we receive them.
The Appeal is being launched today (October 1) and we aim to end it on October 31, so please consider if you can make a contribution, no matter how small.
