A South Norfolk
church has just celebrated its centenary with a ceilidh and a special service marking the occasion.
Wymondham Baptist Church
in Queen Street opened its doors in 1910, but its origins stretch back more than 200 years.
Minister the Rev Alan Davies,
said: “The Abbey
has been here for years and years and we would not want to claim priority over it but the Baptist church must be the second oldest place of worship in the town. It’s good to be a part of. It actually has a very nice history.”
Just like it does today, providing services including baby and toddler groups and counselling, the church for 100 years been helping address its community’s needs.
