The Archdeacon of Lynn is inviting people to join him and dozens of others to run or walk to raise money for the East Anglian Air Ambulance and for your local church.

The annual Archdeacons’ Charge returns on Bank Holiday Monday, May 5, at the Stody Estate near Holt in North Norfolk, raising money for the East Anglian Air Ambulance and local parish churches.
The Charge is an opportunity for people to come together for a sponsored walk or run anywhere from 3 to 10 miles around the beautiful grounds of the Stody Estate including through the much loved Water Gardens.
The idea for the Charge came about five years ago when the East Anglian Air Ambulance became very close to the heart of the Archdeacon of Lynn, the Venerable John Ashe. His wife was in a very serious accident and the Air Ambulance helped to get her to hospital in life-saving time. Since then, John has been doing all he can to raise money for the charity.
The money raised from the Charge is split between the Air Ambulance and the local parish church of the runner. So far, the Charge has raised nearly £58,000, enough to keep the Air Ambulance flying for two days and to pay for half a priest for one year.
John Ashe is himself a keen runner so will be running the full 10 miles. If you would like to sponsor him on his run, head to: You can also donate via text – to give £5 send the words ARCH44 £5 to 70070.
