The cast performed songs from their up-and-coming production Godspell to a packed auditorium in the church’s converted warehouse on Roundtree Way in Norwich.

During the course of the evening they performed three songs from the hit Broadway musical as they took over the stage and danced in the aisles at the church’s usual Sunday night service.

“It was a brilliant and memorable night,” said church Executive Pastor Owen Morgan. “The team from Mixed Voice are highly talented. As a church we are always looking to add creative elements to our services and their take-over did exactly that!”

The team of East Anglian-based singers, dancers and performers are due to commence their latest production, Godspell, which is based on parables from the gospel of Matthew, at Norwich Playhouse from September 3-6.

Their flash-mob takeovers have been part of their idea to promote the upcoming performance and has included them appearing at St Peter Mancroft church Norwich and outside The Forum in Norwich city centre as well.
