Local artist raising funds for Thorpe Market Church
North Norfolk Artist Rosalie Osborne Gibb is continuing her fund-raising efforts for St Margaret’s Church in Thorpe Market with an art exhibition next month.
The Seasonal Spectacular Exhibition and Sale of Work in this very pretty parish church combines new artwork with a variety of unique, handmade Christmas gifts, cards and prints, from three local artists. There will be an opportunity to meet the artists who will be on hand throughout the exhibition.
Rosalie will be exhibiting a new collection her diverse artwork, together with signed limited edition prints, mugs, coasters and greetings cards from her artwork, including Christmas cards.
Terrie Clifft will have a unique range of handmade kiln-fired glass items, ranging from beautiful Murano glass pendants to Christmas decorations and ornamental items. Ian Clifft designs and makes handmade clocks, lamps and other gift items from reclaimed oak with inserts of complimentary materials.
Rosalie says “This is my way to raise money for the church, as they get 20% of all sales. I hold exhibitions there throughout the year, and take part in other events, like the Snowdrop Sundays during February. I’ve also painted and donated 3 postcard sized paintings to put in an exhibition there this weekend, and even baked a cake for the refreshments! I’ve raised quite a lot of funds in this way for Thorpe Market over the years, as well as for Mundesley Methodist church.”
A wide selection of used books will be for sale, as well as teas, coffees and delicious homemade cakes. The exhibition is wheelchair accessible and dog friendly and Rosalie has credit card facilities for her sales.
Opening hours are 11am to 4pm on Friday and Saturday November 15 and 16, 12noon to 4pm on Sunday 17.
St Margaret’s Church is on Church Road, Thorpe Market, NR11 8UA.
