Family750PX An invitation to speak Shalom over families

Jill Gower, Director of the Call to Prayer ministry, invites us to call down peace on families as they seek to adapt to the Government’s changing guidelines.

We pray for families that you would draw them close together. We declare that families are important to God and we place them under the shield of Almighty God.

Father, we speak Your Shalom over households and families who are finding things tense and difficult right now. We speak your peace that passes understanding over children who are restless and bored.  As sometimes family tensions increase, may Your Presence be in their midst.

We bless our families to love one another and to stand with one another.

As some children return to school, we lift each and every one to you. We ask, Lord, that you would watch over them and protect them.

Father, give the teachers wisdom and peace as they go back to schools. Lord, show them how to engage with the children in exciting and creative ways. We bless them to know they have a father in Heaven who loves them and who protects them.

In Jesus Name. Amen.

Father, we thank you that we can now meet one other person from another family. We bless these times together.

Give people patience to stay within the guidelines and not to take chances as frustration increases at this time. Lord, we pray that as people go further afield that they will continue to social distance.

in the Mighty name of Jesus we break fear from people who are overcome by it right now, and those who are fearful that others will ignore the warnings. Pour out your spirit of wisdom over the people.

We pray that as we do this, infections of the virus will still stay at a low number and will continue to decrease. We declare that as we live our lives within the shadow of God Most High our secret hiding place, we will always be shielded from harm.

Amen.

Please pray especially for the Fountain of Life shop-and-chat service, which seeks to provide a listening ear to families which are struggling at this time.
