Norwich church's prayer walk provides connection
A Norwich church's churchyard prayer walk and Bible reflections are providing a place of connection with God.
On Sunday July 20, Archdeacon Keith James officially blessed a prayer/reflection walk in the churchyard of St Andrews Trowse. Twelve signs, each with a relevant Bible verse and thought-provoking sentence have been placed around the churchyard.
A path, cut in the grass, guides visitors around the walk.
The PCC applied for a grant from the Sharing Good News fund to provide the signs and planters for a sensory garden.
"As St Andrews is not open daily the prayer walk provides the opportunity to spend time in prayer and reflection within the church setting at all times< " said the church's Sarah Toothill. "We hope that our churchyard will be a place of connection with God and nature to all who visit."
