Teen Challenge delivers powerful message to churches
The team at a Norfolk Christian charity would like to thank local churches for the encouragement they have recently received, and invite other churches to hear their powerful speakers at a service.
Outreach Co-ordinator for Teen Challenge Rev Vic Ready said, "I thank all the churches in Norwich and Norfolk that Teen Challenge has visited over the last year. The response has been amazing as has the level of support and encouragement we have received.
"For me, travelling with the men nearing the end of the programme, listening to their testimonies of times when they were without much hope and often without God, has been extremely rewarding. Once they were desperate, not knowing if change was at all possible, but now, through the Gospel and Teen Challenge, they have a future without addiction and with God.
"Addiction is a major problem in many of our towns and cities, and it often begins at school. If nothing else, an awareness of just how prevalent it has become in society will be an eyeopener. Prevention of course is better than any cure and I believe just listening to how easy it is to get trapped into this lifestyle is important.
"For churches that we have so far not visited and who would like to arrange a visit from the Outreach team, we are taking bookings from the May 10 onwards. We would love to be part of your Sunday morning service, after your normal praise and worship and notices. The time required is about 40 minutes and comprises of an introduction by me and testimonies of changed lives from two of the men. For these men sharing their stories point of view, the opportunity in simply testifying to how God has changed their lives, is hugely encouraging."
If you are interested in a visit from the team, can you first contact our Outreach Administrator, Sean Woolmer at sean@draytonhall.org.uk suggesting available dates.
