Ukraine visitServing God in a warzone: special meeting in Norwich

Norwich Evangelical Free Church will host a small group of missionaries from Ukraine on March 25. Malcom Clegg, from Central Eurasian Partners, will be bringing two of his colleagues with him to speak about what God is doing in the context of the suffering and evil of war.

Central Eurasian Partners (CEP) is a network of Christian mission organisations working throughout Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia, committed to meeting the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of people in countries which are facing new challenges in a changing culture. CEP has been involved in relief work in Ukraine since the war began, partnering with schools in Lutsk, the Realis Christian centre in Kyiv, and supporting chaplains and Christian ministry amongst soldiers on the front line.

Luther Chaplin from Norwich Evangelical Free Church (NEFC) said, "This will be the third time that we have hosted a team from CEP, especially hearing about humanitarian trips to the war front. It is always very humbling to meet and hear from those who, in the words of Romans 16:4 “risk their own necks” to serve others for Christ’s sake. Whatever the circumstances, in war or at peace, the message of salvation and the love of Christ remain the same and it is inspiring to meet people who hold true to it in a very difficult setting, and who are seeing God build his kingdom."
