Cook needed at Lakenham Day Centre in Norwich 

Christian charity Community Action Norwich is looking for a compassionate and reliable part-time Cook to prepare and serve a freshly cooked two-course meal for 30–40 older people twice a week at its friendly, dementia-friendly Day Centre.

Salary Annual £7,987.20 per year
 
Tuesday 9am–2pm
Thursday 9am–2pm
Monday (2 flexible hours – shopping)

We are looking for a compassionate and reliable Cook to prepare and serve a freshly cooked two-course meal for 30–40 older people twice a week at our friendly, dementia-friendly Day Centre.

The Role
• Plan menus and cook nutritious meals
• Shop and manage stock within budget
• Maintain high food hygiene standards
• Work alongside a supportive team of staff and volunteers
 
You will need:
• Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
• Experience cooking for larger groups
• Ability to work to budget
• Compassion for older people
• Support for the Christian ethos of CAN
