Empower will equip you for the extraordinary
Hope Church in Wymondham has relaunched its decade-long School of Supernatural Life as Empower and the new course will feature different elements including a night and daytime programme.
The effect of the School has been profound for many of its students, explains associate team leader Ben Watkins.
“One January morning Pete limped into our first ever Day School of Supernatural Life meeting. He was aided by crutches due to an Achilles problem. Pete had signed up for a year-long course to learn all about Jesus’ Kingdom and how we can advance it. Little did he know he was about to experience what he signed up for!
“Midday, one of the School team approached Pete and asked if they could pray for healing. Pete was keen and said his Achilles pain level was about 5 out of 10. So they prayed - nothing happened.
“So they prayed again - suddenly Pete began to experience a warmth in his foot and then the pain completely disappeared! His pain went from 5/10 to 0/10!
“Pete walked unaided and threw the crutches in his car, praising God for His love and power. He had experienced Jesus’ healing touch and that wouldn’t be the only time,” said Ben.
A Supernatural Life
For 10 years, Hope Church in Wymondham has run a School of Supernatural Life. The course included passionate worship, activities to grow spiritual gifts, biblical teaching, small group discussions and practical outreach opportunities to apply learning.
Men and women travelled from all over Norfolk and parts of Suffolk to encounter God, be transformed and learnt how to demonstrate Jesus’ Kingdom in their world.
“School has transformed my life. It seems a bit of a cliché but it’s true. I feel so much closer to our Father and I hear Him more clearly. I am excited by my faith now,” said one student
“I am changed! Jesus has transformed me - I do not recognise the person who applied for the school!,” said another
Get Empowered
With 10 years of experience behind them, the Hope team decided to rebrand, relaunch and equip more people. The School of Supernatural Life became Empower.
Empower begins this September with both a Night and Day time programme – and the team would love you to join them.
Night-time Streams
New for this year is the Tuesday evening streams, beginning on September 23. Its five weeks of encountering God’s presence in worship and being equipped in specific areas of Kingdom ministry.
Cost: £25 for adults or £60 for three friends (Free for High School and Sixth form students)
Daytime Rivers
The Friday daytime course runs for 26 weeks from September 26 until the middle of May. “It promises to be a life-changing journey of growing in intimacy with your Father, your identity in Christ and being impacted by Holy Spirit,” said Ben.
“We have Year 1 (Kingdom Foundations) and Year 2 (Kingdom Influence) options. This is a superb space to invest in your walk with Jesus and grow with like-minded people.”
Cost: £510 per student or £800 for a couple.
