Norfolk Christian volunteer link launched
Network Norwich and Norfolk is launching a new initiative to help Christian organisations find suitable volunteers to help with their work.
The Norfolk Christian Volunteer Link service is part of the Network Norfolk website and aims to promote volunteering opportunities to people who have the time, skills and passion to fulfil the roles offered.
Website officer Helen Baldry said, "We recognise that many Christian groups rely heavily on volunteers to ensure that their work continues and thrives, especially in the current economic climate.
"We are therefore asking local Christian organisations and groups to advertise their volunteer vacancies on the website. We hope that this will become as popular and well-used as our established paid job vacancy section."
Subscription to the volunteer link scheme costs £100 for the year and includes six adverts, an article on the website, inclusion in the weekly e-newsletter and a special regular volunteer e-newsletter. Vacancies will also be promoted in the Good News for Norwich & Norfolk newspaper and at the annual Celebrate Norfolk event in June.
"At less than £20 per advert, we think this offers great value for money," says Helen. "We hope to help organisations recruit the right people. Our weekly newsletter goes out to over 2,220 people, many of whom may have just the skills they are looking for."
If you sign up by March 11 you will get a free 50-word volunteer vacancy advert in the Easter Good News for Norwich & Norfolk.
