Healing ministry training offered in Sheringham
2016: Norfolk Healing Rooms are running a day's free training in Sheringham in November for individuals who would like to learn about and get involved in the healing ministry. Tony Rothe reports.
Each Healing Room ministry team consists of a group of volunteer Christians from several local churches, joining in unity to see the body of Christ (the church) restored and then to take the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ into the world with demonstration of healing. Their focus is on the presence and power of the Holy Spirit to work through us to heal the sick.
Norfolk Healing Rooms is run by Ray and Ruth Scorey, who are also Regional Directors for Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire. Their team are from a variety of denominations who meet weekly for prayer and fellowship every Thursday, currently in North Walsham. They are always on the lookout for team members and to expand, and see the annual training as a good opportunity for this.
This year’s training day will run from 10am to 5pm on Saturday November 26, at Lighthouse Community Church, 62 Cromer Road, Sheringham, Norfolk, NR26 8RT. Anyone who would like to find out more about Christian healing is warmly invited to come along. There is no charge, but any love gifts will be welcome. Drinks will be provided but attendees should bring their own lunch.
To book your place, contact Rev Ray Scorey on mobile: 07900 341 287 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org.

Both teams are present each June at the “Celebrate Norwich” event at The Forum, and it is hoped that they will take part in “Celebrate Kings Lynn” in the future. Healing Rooms England and Wales have an inspiring annual conference in Halifax at the end of each April.
“We love telling the stories of those whose lives are changed by miraculous healing” says Rev Ruth Scorey.
This year, after we prayed for a chap with hopeless end-stage prostate cancer, his oncologist was able to tell him that his cancer levels were so low that he didn’t need chemotherapy after all. Healing is a process and we fully expect this gentlemen’s healing to continue until he is completely well.
A pastor with a brain tumour in Germany received a prayer cloth (see Acts 19:12), which we had anointed with oil and prayer, and the cancer disappeared, completely foxing the doctors.
A lady in her thirties came to us for prayer after a heart attack and afterwards her cardiologist declared her fit, without the need for a stent.
A young lass in her twenties came for inner healing, after a life of prostitution and has since married and trained as a nurse.
A young father, searching for meaning in crystals, walked into our motorhome in June and discovered God as his foundation.
“Often these healings result from the team hearing words of knowledge and scripture, which help us to get straight to the root of the problem. Sometimes, as with the young girl, healing involves cutting off past ties so that the person can walk into the life that God planned for them.
“It’s very exciting to see lives completely turned around. God has such love for mankind and fills us up so beautifully, without oppression or judgement, it’s quite a privilege to be able to give this away freely.”
Healing Rooms is an international and growing organisation, with over 3,000 centres in over eighty countries. They have a vision to see every town and city in England and Wales with at least one Healing Room and many Healing Rooms in larger cities. This is part of a wider vision to see Healing Rooms set in around the world. The first IAHR Healing Room in the UK opened in Halifax, West Yorkshire at the end of January 2003. There are now over 100 Healing Rooms in the UK.
