New leadership at Norfolk Christian charity
Fiona and Tim Gosden have moved to Norwich as the new directors of pregnancy loss charity TimeNorfolk.
The couple are excited about their new challenge in Norfolk and have relocated from Manchester to take up the shared role of Director of the charity.
Norfolk isn’t a totally new experience for the Gosdens; Tim and Fiona both grew up in Suffolk so already have a connection to the region. Fiona said, “It already feels like home. We have been made to feel very welcome.”The couple have already had lots of meetings, started a counselling training course and moved into a new house.
TimeNorfolk is a Christian charity that offers counselling support to women, men and their partners across Norfolk who have an unplanned pregnancy, a pregnancy loss or those who need support during a pregnancy. Fiona said, “I have a heart for people who have experienced pregnancy loss.” She previously volunteered for a pregnancy loss charity in Manchester. Fiona and Tim believe God spoke to them very clearly about this new chapter in their lives. Tim said, “It’s been an exciting journey of us coming and it’s a journey that started over a year ago. God spoke to us and gave us a burden for this work. It was clear to us that our time in Manchester had come to an end, and God was calling us into something new.”
Tim has always been heavily involved in Christian ministry. He previously worked for the Message Trust in Manchester, and was involved in working with young people through music and schools work. Tim also spent a number of years on the staff team at !Audacious Church, Manchester.
Fiona also currently works for Through the Roof, a Christian charity that encourages churches to be more accessible to disabled people.
Fiona and Tim take over from Lesley Bradfield, who retired this spring after 14 years with the TimeNorfolk. The charity has expanded into Great Yarmouth and King’s Lynn in recent years and Tim and Fiona intend to expand the services so the charity can support more people who have experienced pregnancy loss.
The couple welcome prayer as they take up their new roles, meet new people and look for a local church – they believe God has been faithful in providing for them so far and are confident that God will lead them to the right place.
