Alan in Norwich tells of faith adventure
2012: Allan Jones, a former research physicist-turned-evangelist who has witnessed ‘God’s wonderful power at work around the world,’ was the guest speaker at an inspirational dinner evening in Norwich on Friday, May 11 at the Brook Hotel, Bowthorpe.
“My life has been a big adventure with God,” says Allan who has visited 80 countries and has just returned from Kenya, East Africa, where 900 people recently came to faith in Christ.
Allan’s own journey to faith began when a colleague in an electronics company offered to pray for Allan and his wife, Norma, after their twin girls died, two days after a premature birth. They also accepted an invitation to church and were touched by the testimonies of local Christians – “we also discovered how much Jesus loved us.”
Today, they have three children and Allan is a national director of the Business Men’s Fellowship, (BMF).
This dinner is one of a series of monthly events organised by the Norwich Chapter of the Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship (FGB), which is endorsed in the UK by the Archbishop of York
who says, “We need more men like them.”
The global fellowship has more than 7,000 local chapters spread across 160 countries.
