Kingdom growth is topic of Norwich seminar

NigelSykes450A five-fold ministry model for kingdom growth is the subject of former university business lecturer Nigel Sykes who will be speaking in Norwich on November 4.

At the half-day session, from 10am to 12.30pm, Nigel will bring insights about Kingdom Growth through the implementation of the Five Fold ministry (Ephesians 4, 11-13) together with those on our identity from the Father (Romans 12), our office or purpose in and through the Son (Ephesians 4) and the Holy Spirit power manifest through Christ Jesus in and working through each of us (1Corinthians12).
These insights have been practically applied by Rev Ian Walters from Gosburton, Lincolnshire, who will be joining Nigel in this presentation, organised under the banner of Transforming Norwich at Alive Church, Cowgate, Norwich.
Nigel Sykes worked as a Principal Teaching Fellow, teaching Entrepreneurship and New Venture Creation at the University of Warwick, Business School for 27 years.  His teaching there was based on biblical foundations and has been used by many international companies, such as Time International.
TransformingNorwichBadge250He had a dramatic encounter with God whilst in Russia. Having travelled extensively, and witnessed the transforming power of God in the lives of individuals and communities all over the world, community transformation has become his passion.
Christian persecution within these communities has resulted in the local church metamorphosing into flatter structures of simple, relational, releasing networks.  Nigel has developed an understanding of how God can build His church on the foundations of the apostles and prophets and as a result the real possibility of exponential Kingdom growth.
His passion is for people, the church and the nation to be released into their Kingdom Identity and purpose.  Nigel Sykes will show how the early church moved from its original Hebrew roots by embracing Greek thinking.   Applying his understanding of how churches can grow exponentially by returning to scriptural thinking, Nigel will demonstrate how teams can be built into effective church communities by using every person’s God-given gifts.  Contrasting our man-made hierarchical control structures with that of the Kingdom of God, he will show how through the biblical model of agreement to vision, the Kingdom multiplies.
The seminar will be followed by a Transforming Norwich leaders lunch. Please let Biddy Collyer know if you are coming for an idea on numbers, at
