Celebrate King's Lynn to be large scale festival

Celebrate King’s Lynn has received a substantial boost with a generous grant which will enable it to go “from a small fete to a large scale festival”, according to organiser Alison Hill.

Event visitors will be given free access to all of the activities on offer, including inflatables such as giant slide, adult/children’s bouncy castle and The Eliminator, as well as Sumo wrestling suits and penalty shoot-out.
There will be fete type stalls provided by the churches in King’s Lynn and an array of children’s activities. Sally the Clown will be there with her balloon twisting talents. There will be three children’s shows from Key-to-life experience by Kevin Baldwin – Counties. Lynn Sport has kindly offered the free use of their sports equipment for the day so there will be a variety of sports on offer too.
BeanBakerBand600A refreshment tent with alfresco seating area will be providing free refreshments.
The day will include a stage with live bands and solo artists bringing a fun mixture of musical flavour to The Walks, King’s Lynn.
Artists will include the Darn Funk Orchestra, playing a mix of jazz/funk and the Bean Baker Band.
There will also be an open mike for any budding musicians who are invited to just bring your instrument and plug in.
The free festival will take place on Saturday June 11, from 10am to 6pm at The Walks, King’s Lynn.
Parking is available in the multi-storey car park opposite the park.
