Norwich invite to consider climate emergency response

A Norwich Christian couple who took part in the recent climate protests in London are inviting people to a meeting consider a Christian response to the climate emergency.

Jim and Sue Green, of St Francis Church Heartsease, are hosting an evening at the church on June 27 where they will briefly share their story of involvement in Christian Climate Action and in the Extinction Rebellion (XR) movement.

The main focus of the evening will be the powerful presentation:  ‘Heading for Extinction and what to do about it’, delivered by members of XR.

Jim said: “We have 11 years to prevent a climate catastrophe. There were climate protests in London over Easter, school strikes, Parliament declared a Climate Emergency. We want people to think how Christians should respond.

All are welcome at the free meeting (donations to cover costs welcome), at St Francis Church, Rider Haggard Road, Heartsease, NR7 9UQ, on June 27 from 7-9pm, drinks from 6.30pm.

No booking is required but it would helpful to know approximate numbers. Please contact Sue on
