Truly ScrumptiousNorwich church hosts a truly scrumptious spoonful of songs

Award-wining Searchlight Theatre Company is coming to Norwich on July 20 to perform some of the most popular songs from family films of all time.

Here is a show which is for ‘the child in every person’...Michael Taylorson, Zoe McClean and West End Musical Director Clive Dunstall will take you on a journey through 30 songs from 80 years of iconic music on film . You’ll hear numbers from:

  • Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
  • The Little Mermaid
  • Beauty and the Beast
  • Aladdin
  • The Wizard of Oz
  • Frozen
  • The Prince of Egypt
  • The Sound of Music
  • The Jungle Book
  • The Lion King
  • Mary Poppins

The concert provides the chance to sing-a-long and hear about how some of the songs were written.
‘There Can Be Miracles’ and ‘The Prayer’ give the performance a thought provoking edge - but the show is primarily about bringing families of all ages together.
Revd Mark Fairweather-Tall, pastor of Norwich Central Baptist Church (NCBC) said, “We’re really looking forward to hosting this concert that appeals  to people of all ages. At NCBC we aim to have an inviting culture and want people to feel welcome here.  We’ve arranged a special ticket price so that people feel  able to invite their friends and family to enjoy a musical afternoon together."
