Harvest Quiz Night in aid of Norwich foodbank

Following on from the church's inaugural quiz night last October, Norwich Elim are planning another a great night out with a ploughmans supper to raise money for Norwich foodbank.

Teams of eight are invited to take part. Norwich Elim's minister Nick Whipps said, "We genuinely see this as a great opportunity to engage with folk not yet known to Jesus with a fun evening that still raises the profile of Harvest and particularly to the tremendous work of the Norwich foodbank that serves those in genuine need across the city."

All proceeds for the night will go directly to the Norwich Foodbank, who have suggested that the items currently in greatest need, and which can be brought along on the night, are: tinned vegetables (peas, carrots, sweetcorn); long life milk; long life fruit juice; long life sponge puddings; deodorant and shampoo.

Hannah Worsley, Norwich foodbank Project Manager comments, "We are extremely pleased that the Elim church Harvest quiz will support us once again this year. In 2018, over £200 was donated in this evening and we were able to use the money to support our Christmas FISH project, providing free hot meals and activities to families during the school holidays and also topping up on some needed foodbank supplies as we distributed over 1,000 food parcels in December."
