Fantasy cartographer sought for pastor’s book

A Norwich pastor is seeking an illustrator to take on a new project and supply the artwork to go alongside his completed manuscript.

Dr John Clements is pastor of the Old Meeting House Congregational Church in Norwich and has published several books, including Fruitful Prospects and How to Get What Money Can’t Buy. This new project is very different from his previous published works; Temporania – The Lost Secret of the Knights Templars is a fantasy story. Dr Clements said, “The book is an allegory of a Knight and is similar in style to John Bunyan’s Pilgrim Progress. There is a great deal in the story about developing Christian character and reaching spiritual maturity.”
The protagonist of the story is Aymeric and the tale follows his quest, trials and triumphs. The story is about the discovery of the power of faith and courage through the adventure of a lifetime.
The manuscript is complete apart from imaginary maps and illustrations. John is looking for someone who can draw fantasy maps to illustrate the Knight’s journey – rather like the ones used in C.S. Lewis’s Narnia books and Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings.  Appropriate remuneration for the illustrator will be agreed.
