N Norfolk Christian recounts East Anglian Revival
One hundred years ago, a Christian revival started in Lowestoft and swept across East Anglia, and a Briston man is telling the story in a series of videos.
Matthew Pickhaver lived and taught in Lowestoft for 12 years, but after a stint based in Norwich, he is now involved in evangelism in North Norfolk.
Ten years ago, he compiled a presentation about the East Anglian Revival, based on the late Stanley Griffin's book on the subject, A Forgotten Revival. Stanley’s widow, Mrs Joy Griffin, also loaned him some of the source material that Stanley had collected in the course of his research.
Matthew has now produced a series of short videos telling the story of the 1921 revival in East Anglia and North-East Scotland, to mark its centenary. These are available on his YouTube channel ('Matthew Pickhaver') and the links are below.
Matthew says that Stanley’s book, A Forgotten Revival, is still available from the publisher - www.dayone.co.uk
